"A dignified lady with a warm smile that lights up hearts" - this would aptly describe in one line, Dr.(Mrs.) B.Jyothi Reddy, founder Principal our Chief Guest for to-day. Dr.(Mrs.)Jyothi Reddy has done her Ph.d in Hindi literature and has a B.Ed to her credit too.

Dr.B.Jyothi Reddy's passion for reading began at a very young age. She read widely, prose and poetry.Poetry, especially mystical poetry gave her an insight to see life beyond death.

Influenced by the depth of thought in mystical poetry, combined, with a deep knowledge of Vedic philosophy inspired her to do her doctorate. For her thesis the topic she selected was "Philosophy of nature and mystical elements in S.N.Pant and P.B.Shelley's poetry which in Hindi is " Prakruti Tatv evam Rahasyatmak Bodh Paksh Sumitranandan Pant aur Shelly kikavita mein". The core of her thesis is a hymn to intellectual Beauty. A deep spirituality plus a high regard for ethical values are the corner stones of her serene personality.She firmly believes that nature and gardens bring her closer to God. Consequently, she spends a good part of her day, gardening and tending to the plants and flower - beds in her well-laid out garden. She is very interested interacting with intellectuals. What is very dear to her is social service. Thoughts about helping people around her occupies all her working hoursShe is a true patriot and wished to serve her country by moulding the personality of the young with special attention to their mind and soul. With this in mind she started Niraj Public School in 1986. She strongly believes in providing education for the differently abled and the under privileged. She provides the infrastructure and other material help to two schools and the Niraj Jyothi Evening School.

She is a voracious reader and an avid traveller. Yoga helps her keep calm in the midst of stress.

The young dynamic Principal of Niraj Public School is a man with vision. Improving the infrastructure, child - centred learning, making learning a pleasurable experience are all what he firmly believes in. He is the man who is at the helm of affairs. Smart and suave, pleasant-natured, with a disarming smile, he handles all matters with firmness and tact. He has made the classrooms colourful and equipped them with T.V. sets. A sportsman from his school days onwards, he plays cricket and believes in encouraging the team spirit amongst the teachers.

Attractive and gracious, the charming Priya Reddy, the Vice-Principal of the school, oversees the work done by the teachers of the Primary section. She is actively involved with every aspect of the school. Alert and observant, she is always at hand to guide the teachers.

Mrs. Chandra Dorai, M.A., M.Ed., with thrity eight years of experience in the field of education is an Educational Consultant of Niraj Public School. Her interaction with staff members, observationof classes, scrutiny of notes written by and correction work done by teachers, has gone a long way in improving the work of the teachers. Once in a while she also takes vocabulary classes for students of class X. We hope our association with her will be a long one.

Mrs.Lakshmi Krishnan, the Headmistress of Niraj Public School conducts herself with poise, dignity and confidence. With twenty three years of experience behind her, she is fully equipped to manage the student community. She is very focused on getting outstanding Board Examination Results. Her concentration is ever on instilling sound values in the child, disciplining the mind and body of the child and also encouraging positive thinking.

Lakshmi Krishnan like to organize cultural events, and enjoys music and dance. Her evenings are devoted to physical exercise like playing Badminton and Swimming.

Hindi Supervisor, Mrs. Manju Bhashini Srivastava  has been  with Niraj School for 24 years.  She has been with the History and Civics department and as Middle School Supervisor for several years. She has been instrumental in teaching the students Hanuman Chalisa.  She has been an examiner for the ICSE Examinations and a team leader for many years. Cheerful, pleasant, lively, dynamic Manju Bhashini is a hard worker and loved immensely by her colleagues and students. She has just completed writing History books for classes VI, VII and VIII, which will be published shortly. She is the activity coordinator of the school. Multi-faceted, Manju is also an excellent P.R.O.

Padma Sekhar, with her organizational skills, confidence, and good communication skills, handles many duties in the institution.  As Head of the Department of English she has her finger on the pulse of the English Department. Out of her twenty years of teaching experience,  she has been for seven years  in Niraj School.  Dynamic and warm - hearted, she is in-charge of the School Magazine, and is popular with students and colleagues.

Yashodhara has been with Niraj School for 20 years. She has won an Award seven times for achieving the highest percentage in her subject ( Telugu) at the I.C.S.E Board Examinations. Her forte is writing humorous telugu plays for Children's Day and Annual Day functions. She has been instrumental in teaching Sanskrit verses like Vishnu Sahasranamam, Lalitha Sahasranamam and Aditya Hridayam to the students. She has contributed articles to Andhra Bhoomi, a telugu weekly and won first prize three times. She has translated a religious book ( in English ) Written by H.H. Sri Datta - Yogeshwar Tirth Maharaj, entitted "Yogis and Avadhoots".

Mrs. I.V.M. Nagalakshmi - Head of the Department of biology is modest and unassuming. She is dedicated to her work and is all for value based education. A systematic approach to the syllabus will enhance the enthusiasm of the student, is her firm belief.

An enthusiastic, resourceful and creative teacher. She believes in project based learning to develop creativity among children. She is popular with her colleagues and the students. She has won first prize in CD Competition conducted by Intel. She also believes in learning at every step of life.

Mrs. Rama Amarnath, - Head of the Department of Computers feels that the support and timely guidance of the management go a long way in setting a track record of good results in the Board Examination. She is enthusiastic about project based education. She is of the firm opinion that to make a student a complete individual, it is essential that knowledge is replete with spiritualism.

Mrs. T. Tejasree, Head of the Department of Geography who with her disarming smile, believes in relating her subject to daily life. To increase the understanding of the subject she uses simple teaching techniques. Her focus is on developing confidence in the student and interest in the subject Geography.

Mrs. Padmaja, Special Education. Mrs. Padmaja has worked as a special educator for eleven years, in Niraj Public School. Very gentle, patient and caring, Padmaja works wonders with the special children in her care. She puts in hardwork in her role as supervisor of the Special Section.
